Abia Agog As Governor Ikpeazu Recovers From Coronavirus

The Abia state government on Tuesday announced that the state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has fully recuperated from COVID-19.

It would be recalled that the governor tested positive for COVID-19 some weeks back and subsequently went into isolation.

Following the completion of the two weeks compulsory isolation of COVID-19 patients, sources in the government house who are familiar with the ssituation have now disclosed that Ikpeazu has recovered from the virus.

The source added that the governor would resume duty any moment from now.

It added that the governor was in constant communication with his deputy and commissioner in other to ensure that things are running smoothly.

One said, “the Governor is constantly in touch with his deputy, commissioners and close aides, and everything is moving well in the state and Abia people are already celebrating his recovery, and awaiting him to return”.

“Thanksgivings service is being planned to hold this coming Sunday for God’s guidance and mercy on the life of the Governor over the COVID-19 disease. The Governor is doing very well. Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has fully recovered. It is just that he had to wait for the 14 days isolation period before returning”
