Access Bank Is Ripping Us Off Our Hard Earned Money- Customers Cry Out
Aggrieved customers of Access Bank have taken to a micro-blogging, Twitter to express their dissatisfaction over repeated stamp duty charges.
According to the customers, the charge have been consecutive with no explanation provided by Access Bank. Meanwhile, some alleged that the bank debited them before the actual date. Screenshots of debit alert for Monday, June 29 were issued on Saturday, June 27.
Meanwhile, Ekohotblog gathered that Access Bank Plc had earlier sent an email to customers explaining that the mandated stamp duty charge was not carried out between February 1, and April 30, 2020.
The stamp duty charge is N50 and is for electronic transfers of naira-denominated current and savings accounts, all deposits, and transactions from of N10,000 upwards.
In the email sent to customers, Access Bank explained that the stamp duty charge was not carried out for three months and customers should expect deductions.

Unfortunately, customers didn’t like the idea as they took to Twitter to pour their anger.
