Lagos State Discharges 50 COVID-19 Patients
Lagos state discharges of 50 COVID-19 patients from its isolation centers after testing negative to the virus.
The State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu announced this on July 10, 2020, via the Lagos state Official Twitter page.
The tweet stated that the 50 discharged patients were a makeup of 13 females and 37 males including 26 foreign nationals and they were, however, discharged from five isolation centers in the state.
“Today, 50 #COVID19Lagos patients; 13 females and 37 males including 26 foreign nationals were discharged from our Isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

“The patients; 6 from Agidingbi, 14 from Eti-Osa (LandMark) 22 from Onikan, 1 from Vidic and 7 from LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged after full recovery and testing negative to COVID19.

Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu went on to urge residents of the state to continue adhering to all COVID-19 guidelines including the use of facemask.
“Remember, it is now a criminal offense in Lagos State to go out without using a facemask. Let’s continue to adhere strictly to all public advisories given by government #ForACOVID19FreeLagos”
On the 10th of July 2020, 575 new confirmed cases and 20 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
Till date, 31323 cases have been confirmed, 12795 cases have been discharged and 709 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
The 575 new cases are reported from 18 states- Lagos(224), Oyo(85), FCT(68), Rivers(49), Kaduna(39), Edo(31), Enugu(30), Delta(11), Niger(10), Katsina(9), Ebonyi(5), Gombe(3), Jigawa(3), Plateau(2), Nassarawa(2), Borno(2), Kano(1), Abia(1).
