In a comment on a blog post, Bakare praised Tonto for her growth in politics but chided her for having a dramatic birthday party for Andre every year.
Bakare opined that there are certain things single mothers should not put their children through and that every year’s birthday celebration does not have to be dramatic.
While Tonto’s ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, wished his son a happy birthday and expressed his desire to see him soon, some netizens criticized him for not making enough effort to be in his son’s life.
This is not the first time Tonto has gifted her son a piece of land on his birthday. In 2022, she gifted him a small piece of land in Scotland.
It remains to be seen if Tonto will respond to Bakare’s criticism. However, it is clear that the actress’s yearly birthday celebrations for her son have caused a stir among some of her colleagues and fans.
