The day was filled with joy and gratitude as they gathered to praise the Almighty God.
The church thanksgiving began with uplifting praises to God, setting the tone for the celebration.
During the service, a heartfelt testimony was shared about a man who had been supported through university by Mrs. Ikuforiji. Touched by the testimony, she joined the choir and ministered a beautiful song titled “My Daddy My Daddy.”
The pastor presiding over the ceremony expressed gratitude for the life and family of the Ikuforijis and delivered a brief sermon on contentment, reminding everyone of the importance of being content in life.
The congregation came together to offer songs of thanksgiving, with the women singing on behalf of Pastor Mrs. Ikuforiji and the men doing the same for Rt. Hon. Ikuforiji. There was dancing and rejoicing in the presence of God.
In recognition of her contributions and milestone, Mrs. Ikuforiji was presented with an award and a heartfelt gift from the church.
She shared her inspiring testimony of overcoming challenges, from surviving potential abortion to battling blindness caused by measles.
The celebrant also spoke about her journey from barrenness to becoming not only a mother but now a grandmother. The priest offered prayers for her.
Several prominent figures attended the celebration, including former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, who was the chairman of the reception, House of Representatives member, Hon. Wale Raji, and Eredo LCDA Chairman, Ismail Akinloye.
The atmosphere at the reception was filled with the sounds of melodious music from a DJ and a live band, creating the perfect backdrop for dancing and merriment.
Among the distinguished guests were the wife of former Lagos State Governor and Minister, Abimbola Fashola, Hon. Obanikoro, and Oba Oniru, amongst others.
The highlight of the celebration was the cutting of the birthday cake and the wedding anniversary cake by Mr. and Mrs. Ikuforiji. Family members, friends, kings, chiefs, senators, honourables, and well-wishers took turns to capture memorable moments with the couple.
The celebrant received heartfelt tributes from friends, co-workers, family members, and children who spoke about her remarkable life. K-Wonder and his band delivered an electrifying music performance, and Mrs. Ikuforiji graced the dance floor, joined by others who showered her with tokens of love and appreciation.
As the ceremony concluded, Mrs. Ikuforiji expressed her gratitude during a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating everyone for being a part of her special day.
