A Coward – Nwibubasa Hits Wike With ‘Stray’ Bullet
-
Spokesman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council in Rivers State has hit out at the Rivers State Governor over his silence heading into the general election.
-
According to Lelonu Nwibubasa, Wike lacks the courage to inform the State his preferred candidate for the February polls judging from his silence.

The PDP spokesman accuses the governor of having appointees who have been speaking to people at the grassroots to vote for Tinubu, who is of the APC.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council in Rivers State, Leloonu Nwibubasa, has made a bold accusation against the state governor, Nyesom Wike, in a recent interview with The Punch.
Nwibubasa alleged that Governor Wike has been secretly directing his supporters to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Tinubu, in the upcoming 2023 presidential election.
According to Nwibubasa, government appointees in Rivers State, including elected officials on the PDP platform, have been speaking to people at the grassroots level and directing them to vote for Tinubu.

However, Nwibubasa claimed that the directive has been met with stiff resistance from the people, who have stated that they will be voting for the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Nwibubasa also accused Governor Wike of lacking the courage to openly reveal his choice of a presidential candidate, stating that his decision to speak through subordinates is not a mark of a true leader.
The Rivers PDP presidential campaign spokesperson added that Wike is attempting to shield himself from blame in the event that things do not go as planned at the election.
In response to these allegations, Nwibubasa called on Governor Wike to keep to his words and publicly announce his preferred presidential candidate, as he had promised to do in January.
Nwibubasa emphasized that a good leader should be courageous and willing to stand up and tell the people where they are heading, whether it is good or bad.
The dissatisfaction of the G-5 governors, which includes Governor Wike, is not expected to negatively affect the chances of the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, at the February 25 presidential election. According to Nwibubasa, other G-5 members have returned to the mainstream PDP.

FAKE NEWS ALERT: I’m Still A Member Of PDP – Sokoto Deputy Gov
This latest development has sparked widespread speculation and debate about Governor Wike’s true intentions and the role he will play in the upcoming presidential election.
“The fact that Governor Wike is not courageous enough to stand and pronounce this and is giving this duty to his lieutenants also tells you that he wants them to bear the blame and not himself.
“That is not the quality of a good leader. A good leader should be able to stand up courageously and tell the people, this is where we are heading, whether good or bad, those that want to work with him will work with him.
“We are calling on him again to keep to his words. He told Nigerians that in January he was going to name his preferred candidate and that he would campaign for the candidate in the 36 states of the federation. It was all over the news platforms. Up till today, Governor Wike has not had the guts to tell the people clearly who he wants them to vote for. This again tells on his integrity,” Nwibubasa submitted.
