‘A Hardworking, Loyal Man’ – Hon. Adesanya Mourns Akeem Akojo

Honourable Adedoyin Adesanya says the passing of renowned grassroot politician in Epe, Akeem Akojo, is a devastating occurrence that weighs heavily on the mind of every true sons and daughters of the ancient town.

Adesanya spoke at the day fidau prayer held at Salako mini-field, Epe, on Sunday 17th January 2020

Speaking with Ekohotblog at the event, Hon. Adesanya said that he was at the fidau prayers to pay his intimate friend last respect. While he stated that the deceased, Hon Akeem akojo, was committed to the development of Epe community, he vouched to do all in his power to support the wife and children of the deceased.

” I’m here to pay my last respect on the occasion of the fidau prayer for the past Executive Member of Epe Local Government, Hon. Akeem Taye Akojo. He is a hardworking man who is loyal to our party, All Progressives Congress (APC) and the entire community. We are close friends because we wine and dine together, he is a like mind who is highly committed to the development of Epe community.

In my capacity as Chairman and the many roles he played in the community and on behalf of my friends, I will give the family a token for now and I promise to do more as long as I’m on this seat. I will do all my possible best to make his family not to feel the impact of his demise “, he averred.

Hon. Adedoyin, however, questioned the rationale behind rumour mongers who assumed that he is culpable in circumstances surrounding the former’s demise, stating firmly his belief that God giveth and taketh. He admonished young people to emulate the roles that the deceased played based on being serviceable, resourceful, humble and industrious which are characteristic of youths in any given society.

In the same vein, a distraught Hon. Tobun Abiodun who the deceased closely worked with also spoke with Ekohotblog where he emphatically thanked God for the life well spent and also stated the invaluable roles Late Akeem Akojo towards the development of the All Progressives Congress APC, and humanity at large.

” He has tried his possible best and worked assiduously to the development of the party and humanity, and he has passed on to glory. So, glory is to Almighty Allah and I know that God who compensates will compensate him. Even when he is no more, his children’s children will grow to reap the fruits of his labour.

“The Imams and the Ulamas have talked to us in a way that we should all know that we come from God and it is to Him we shall return. He has returned to the God Almighty Allah who will grant him Al-Janat, rest and who will help the children to grow to the level that he can not attain “, he said.

Earlier, the Mufty of Epe, Sheikh Ayinla Kabir Raheem in his message urged the gathering to eschew the belief that someone was behind the demise of the deceased, stating that death is inevitable. He further stressed the need for politicians to exhibit virtuous attitudes by being honest, just, truthful and to also desist from the habit of backbiting amongst themselves which he said is a grave sin in the sights of the Almighty.
