Edo state police command has arrested a fourteen-years old house maid identified as Anna Amos who allegedly smashed the head of a seventy one-year old woman to death with stone in benin.
Anna, a secondary school student was arrested on tuesday for the murder of her septugenerian woman, Hellen Adodo whom she had been staying with as a house maid since march, 2018.
The girl who told the police that she came from abuja when she was paraded alongside 101 other criminal suspects arrested, was in tears when she narrated how her victim had treated her well all the years she lived with her and what came over her.

She blamed her offence on been possessed by unseen voodoo spirit that instructed her to killed her boss.
“I parked the dirty plates outside to wash them. As I opened the door and stepped on the veranda, something just came over my body and I no longer know what I was doing and I abandoned the plates I was supposed to wash. I stood on the stone, and later look it, went inside with it and hit it on her head” she said.
“I don’t know what came over. It was a spirit. It told me to go and kill her. She didn’t offend me” she added.
A clip obtained by journalists on wednesday shows the teenager confessing to the crime before the presence of the victim son and other residents.
The state’s police public relations officer, Mr Chidi Nwabuzor had stated that the command received a distress call over the matter at about 8:30am, adding that the case had been transferred to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation.
Investigation on friday revealed that the daughter of the late woman brought her from abuja to live with her mother. According to investigation, the late woman had been down with serious health challenges before her death. She was devastated with strike.
