Former students, teachers, and guests of Army Children High School 1994/1995 converged on the 22nd of April 2023 to celebrate their reunion. The event was held in a beautifully decorated hall and was organized by the school’s Alumni.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as people shared stories of their time in school and how their teachers impacted their lives. The event was a huge success, and everyone left feeling grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with their past and give back to their alma mater.
The event began with an opening prayer led by Bishop Philip, after which Mr Olakunle, a member of the Alumni, introduced himself as the Master of Ceremony. In his welcome address, Mr Olarenwaju, also a member of the Alumni, appreciated the efforts of all the teachers present and emphasized the essence of the gathering, which was to appreciate the teachers, the school, and reunite with their classmates after a long while.
The students of Army Children High School presented a drama performance, which entertained the audience. Mrs Otun Olamiji powered the drama presentation. The event continued with more exciting activities, and the alumni members awarded their former teachers.
Mr Akinrinmade was the first to receive an award, and he mentioned that the 1995 set was a unique one. He advised the alumni members to continue to come together in order to achieve greater heights. Other awardees include Mr Akande, Alh. Mohamed Tajudeen, Mr Adeoye, Mr Adekangbe, Mrs Adebayo, Bishop Philip, Mr Olarungun, Mr Abdulazeez Adeyemi, Dr Adebua, Mr Olatunji Ayodele, and Rev. Mrs Awobajo. Each awardee expressed their gratitude to the alumni members and advised the 1995 set to always support one another.
The second phase of the award presentation began, and two teachers were awarded. Hon. Moruf, represented by Mr Kuye, and Mr Yusuf, represented by Mrs Mohamed, were both recognized and awarded for their outstanding contributions. The coordinator of the Alumni, Mrs Adelakun Olamiji, was also specially recognized and awarded for her ability to organize a successful reunion.
The lucky winner of the raffle draw was announced, and Mrs Josephine was gifted a mini Hi-Fi sound system. The Alumni of Army Children High School took pictures with the teachers present as they began to dance and merry afterwards.

Mrs Olamiji Adelakun expressed her gratitude to God for the success of the event and advised the younger generation to strive to do better than their predecessors. She concluded by saying that the reward for good work is more work.
The Army Children High School 1994/1995 Alumni Reunion was indeed a successful event that brought together former students and teachers to reconnect and appreciate one another. The event was a reminder of the impact that teachers have on the lives of their students and the importance of giving back to one’s alma mater.
The event will forever be remembered as a remarkable one that brought people together and strengthened the bond between the school and its former students.
It was a night filled with laughter, memories, and gratitude, and everyone left with a renewed sense of pride in their alma mater.
