Eko Hot Blog reports that, in a momentous event, the legislator representing Epe Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Rep. Wale Raji on Saturday paid a courtesy visit to the newly installed Abowa of Agbowa, HRM Oba Owolabi Saheed Momson.
According to a press statement issued on Saturday by the office of the federal lawmaker, the visit was marked by the conferral of an honorary title, as Raji was named the “Otunba Bobaselu of Agbowa” in recognition of his commendable developmental efforts.
The lawmaker expressed joy for the monarch’s recent installation and extended heartfelt congratulations to both Oba Momson and the people of Agbowa.
He noted that official engagements impeded his plans to attend the installation ceremony, hence today’s visit to the monarch.
Raji emphasized the enduring nature of his relationship with the monarch and his deep affinity for Agbowa which is reflective in the volume and quality of projects he has facilitated to Agbowa in recent times.
The lawmaker highlighted the significant projects he has facilitated in Agbowa, including a Recreational center, Vocational center, schools, markets, roads, and a health center.
Oba Momson commended him for his longstanding support, which preceded his ascension to the throne, and acknowledged the legislator’s substantial contributions to various parts of Epe, particularly Agbowa.
In a surprise announcement, the monarch bestowed the first honorary title of his reign upon the Lawmaker recognizing him as the “Otunba Bobaselu of Agbowa.”
The monarch lauded Raji’s quality representation and leadership, citing unprecedented development brought to Epe Federal Constituency.
Hon Dehinsilu Wasiu, speaking on behalf of the community, expressed gratitude to Rep. Wale Raji for his exceptional service and presented pressing community needs, including employment opportunities, roads, markets, schools, and healthcare facilities.
In appreciation, Raji thanked the monarch for the honor, pledging to fulfill the responsibilities of the title. He assured ongoing and future projects, including additional markets, schools, roads, and impactful initiatives.
The lawmaker also expressed his commitment to addressing the employment needs of the community and requested the credentials of five unemployed youths who would be gainfully employed in the coming months.
“His delegation included the Chairman of Wale Raji Think Tank Committee, Otunba Nurudeen Yussuf, Hon Seriki Stephen (Kelekele), Hon Moruf Ahmed, Mr Osifeko Mark, and others,” the statement concluded
