A Woman That Cannot Be Replaced – Tributes Pour In From Molusi College Old Students For Late Mrs. Victoria Oluyemisi Odofin-Ogunmefun
It was indeed a day of glowing tributes as members of Molusi College Old Students Associations(MOCOSA 69/73 were on hand to honor and remember one of their own Late Chief Mrs. Victoria Oluyemisi Odofin-Ogunmefun and the wonderful memories they all shared before her demise.
In a memorial service held on Sunday the 21st of May, 2023 organized by the children of late Yemisi Ogunmefun , friends , well wishers remembered her for the impactful and altruistic life she led while alive.

EKO HOT BLOG interviewed some members of Mocosa 69/73 that were present at the memorial service and it was an opportunity to share the good times they had with the late Chief Mrs. Victoria Abayomi Oluyemisi Odofin-Ogunmefun
Dr Venerable Bayo Odeniyi, a former classmate of the deceased described his relationship with Late Mrs. Ogunmefun as very cordial. She was close to him, his family, particularly his wife.
Describing Mrs. Victoria Abayomi’s personality, Odeniyi remembered her open-mindedness and altruistic tendencies.
“She was indeed an inspiration to all of us. She was down to earth and never too proud to accept her fault when she was wrong. She was always on the move coming up with brilliant ideas on how best to improve the set and the welfare of the members.” Dr. Odeniyi averred.
Mr. Odeniyi also went on to explain the reason behind the Molusi College Old Students having matching attires, specifically the caps they wore, stressing it was in honor of the late Mrs. Victoria Oluyemisi.
Venerable Odeniyi also prayed for late Chief Mrs. Victoria Abayomi Oluyemisi Odofin-Ogunmefun’s children and implored them to continue to imbibe the legacy left by their mother and even surpass it.
Life is unpredictable, death is inevitable, and it is a situation every mortal will have to go through, but the question is, what will you be remembered for after you transit to the world beyond?
Yemisi no doubt lived an exemplary and impactful life, and she will be missed, Dr. Odeniyi concluded.
“It is a lesson that we are not in this world forever but the little that we can do, we should impact on the world and do our best and leave the rest,” Mr. Bayo Odeniyi was quoted saying.
EKO HOT BLOG also spoke with Alhaji Abayomi Huseni, chairman of the 69-73 Mocosa set of the Molusi College, Ijebu-Igbo.
Alhaji Abayomi Hussein, Chairman MOCOSA 69/73 In an interview with Eko Hot Blog described late Yemisi as the glue, editor and the rallying point of the 69/73 set.
“She had this unbelievable penchant to reach out and offer assistance to those in need.
“She was a very versatile woman who was always prepared to take on any task as long it was geared towards advancing the cause of humanity. She was always on the move, always one step ahead of everybody. She paid her dues on time and assisted other members in fulfilling their financial obligation, including the life insurance payment.”
Alhaji Huseni also emphasized the seriousness with which the deceased embraced her role as the editor of the Molusi College Old Students.
He specifically highlighted her dedication in composing birthday messages during late hours to extend heartfelt congratulations to those celebrating their birthdays the following day.
“She was full of energy,” he remembered, “She is one person who was almost doing the job of 20, 30 people , so for her to leave our midst, we are going to miss her” he said.
“She is irreplaceable, and she will be missed greatly ; she was an embodiment of everything that was good ” Alhaji Huseni said.
Alhaji Abayomi Hussein, prayed for the repose of the deceased soul and also prayed that God would continue to grant them the fortitude to best the loss.
