Wale Raji Anomo, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, has penned an emotional tribute in memory of Sijuade Anomo, fondly called Akanke, whose quiet strength and enduring grace left an indelible mark on her family and community.
Ekohotblog reports that in the heartfelt message released on Monday, Hon. Anomo poured out his grief and love, describing how the past year has been filled with silence, longing, and the ache of absence.

“Today marks one year since you left this world, Sijuade, my Akanke, my heart’s quiet strength and yet it still feels like yesterday,” he wrote.
“I wear my strength in public, but behind closed doors, I am still searching for pieces of me that only existed when I was with you.”
According to the Chairman, his late wife was not only a life partner but his counselor, anchor, and greatest supporter.
“You believed in me more than I ever believed in myself,” he said. “You carried our family with elegance and unmatched grace. Your prayers were my shield. Your presence was my calm.”
