He spoke at a rally for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Valentine Ozigbo at Atani Central School in Ogbaru on Thursday.

Abaribe urged Nigerians to exercise their constitutional rights, saying that security forces were striving to guarantee a peaceful election.

The Senator stated that what Anambra and South-East needs is proper leadership, not “champagne drinkers and confused people as governors”.

He said many can attest to the fact that the state is broken and needs visionary management to rescue it from the doldrums.

“Do not be afraid coming out to vote. Come out and exercise your franchise. Security agencies are already top of the situation”, Abaribe said.

In his remarks, Ozjbgbo, whose running mate is Azuka Enemo, assured that the PDP will ensure good governance in Anambra.

Former Governor and PDP 2019 vice presidential candidate, Peter Obi, PDP Anambra flagbearer in 2017, Oseloka Obaze, and other party chieftains attended the event.
