Abass Family Mourns Iyalode Of Epe Kingdom Nimotalai Seriki
Eko Hot Blog reports that Alhaja Nimotalai Adufe Seriki (nee Abass), the Iyalode of Epe Kingdom, is dead.
The nonagenarian passed away on Wednesday at the age of 90.

The Head (Olori-ebi) of the Abass family, Alhaji Tolani Abass, announced her demise in a statement shared with Eko Hot Blog.
“Inna Li Llahi Wa Inna Illaehi Rajiun. With humility and lots of praises to allah, we announce the passing away to glory of our sister, mother, grandmother and auntie, Alhaja Nimotalai Adufe Seriki, nee Abass , the Iyalode of Epe Kingdom which occured early this morning,” the statement reads.
Alhaji Abass described Alhaja Seriki’s demise as a great loss to the Abass family and the Epe kingdom.
The family head noted that everyone knew the deceased for her kindness and compassion, adding that she will be missed by all who knew her.
He disclosed that her burial is slated for Thursday, July 20, 2023, in Epe.
“May her kind and gentle soul find abode in Aljana Fridaous àaameen,” the Abass family head prayed.
Her demise came a week after she celebrated her 90th birthday.
Alhaja Seriki is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The Abass family is an influential family in Epe kingdom.
Besides the Iyalode, the family boasts influential members such as Alhaji Abass, a successful government contractor.
