“She was lovely, kind, and understanding,” Alhaji Abbas said of his wife fondly known as Mama Nurse during her lifetime.

“We were together for 67 years, and it’s hard to put into words how I feel.”

Similarly, the couple’s grandson also remembered Alhaja Abbas’s unconditional love.

“We’ll always remember how she showed us love and care, and how we checked on each other every day,” he said.

Likewise, Madam Kikelomo Ganiyat Adeyemi, junior sister to the late Alhaja Abbas, said she would not forget her kindness and care.

“My sister was more than a big sister to me. She stood by me and her husband when I got married,” the deceased sister said.

“I can’t forget her kindness and care. Her children love me like a mother, and I’m heartbroken to lose my favorite sister.”

Also, Alhaji Bolatito Abbas, the fifth son of Alhaja Abass, fondly remembered his mother as a great and wonderful woman.

“She was an amazing mom to all of us, a large family of 11 children. None of us can say she wasn’t a mother to them,” he said.

The deceased son went on to recount a story that embodies his late mother’s life of sacrifice.

“In 1995, I wanted to take my WAEC exams, but the fee was ₦15,000. My mom’s salary was only ₦18,000 at the time,” he recalled.

“She sacrificed her entire salary to pay for my exams, saying, ‘Bolatito, your WAEC fee is in my salary.’ If she hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

He added that, “My siblings and I decided to bury her in my house, so I’ll never forget her. Her memory will live on in my heart, and I’ll always cherish the sacrifices she made for me.”

Lastly, another son of Alhaja Abbas, Suleimon Olayinka Abbas, hailed his mother for being the perfect role model through hardwork and a prayerful lifestyle.

“My mom was an exceptional woman, and I have countless fond memories of her.

“She was a quiet and peaceful person who lived a remarkable life, loved by all who knew her.

“She was deeply dedicated to her faith and raised us in a Godly way, inspiring us with her kindness, generosity, and strong work ethic.
