The morning of Saturday, 26th November, in Houston, Texas, found the duo of Francis Thomas and Abby Modinat Kotun exchanging the sacred vow in a solemnization of holy matrimony, flanked by relatives, friends, and well-wishers who had all flown into the city of Houston, to share in the joy of these two at this landmark event of their lives.
I can’t help excusing my personal sentiment for Abby Kotun; I will allow that sentiment to slip through this piece of writing, as I have been privileged to observe the trajectories of her life at a close range over the years and gave her my word to be a part of this moment over 15 years ago.

The name Abby Kotun is not only making waves in the legal profession but has also become a symbolism of feminine strength and an inspiration for younger women.
Not many contemporaries of hers could make a career switch and sustain professional relevance, not to talk of becoming a household name as easily as Abby Kotun has made it appear.
The tag “Abby, The Problem Solver” isn’t a sheer nomenclature, but a badge she has earned for years of dedication and staying true to her passion.
Abby’s relevance transcends the professional sphere to include selfless community service, particularly to the Houston Community.
How comforting that in the midst of bettering humanity, Abby still says “yes” to love!
How else could the Houston Community, show their love and support for her with their presence as she tied the knot with her heartthrob?
Amidst the clinking of wine glasses, aroma of food spices, melodious musical notes, lavish event decorations, goodwill of invites, and other variants of glamour, the Thomas launched their new family.
Some ages down the line, we hope that this event is replicated with today’s couple sitting as the bride’s or the groom’s parents.

No wonder the entire Houston community, Eko Akete, Festac Boys, Eko Club Houston, and Egbe Omo Obinrin Yoruba, were at the event to show their love for Abby and her heartthrob.
