Abducted Chief Judge Freed By Boko Haram, Wife, Driver Still Held

Justice Haruna Mshelia, Chief Judge of the Borno State High Court, who was abducted along with his wife, driver, and police orderly by suspected Boko Haram terrorists on the Biu-Damaturu-Maiduguri Road on June 24, 2024, has regained his freedom, according to reliable sources.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that another source confirmed that his wife, Bintu Mshelia, and the driver are still being held in captivity, while the police orderly was tragically executed by the abductors.

Justice Mshelia, who presides over cases at the Borno State High Court in Maiduguri, was traveling in his vehicle when the unfortunate incident occurred.

His security escort, driver, and wife were with him during the attack that took place about two months ago.

In a report obtained in Maiduguri, the news of his release was shared: “Alhamdulillah (We give thanks to God), we have just received the news of the release (from BH captivity) of Justice Mshelia. May Allah Almighty protect us all from any form of mishap.”
