Abducted Former NDLEA Officer Regains Freedom

  • The abducted former NDLEA officer has regained freedom.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that a retired officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Benue State, who was earlier abducted, has regained his freedom.

It was gathered that the retired officer regained freedom a day after he was kidnapped in his house.

EKOHOTBLOG had reported that the retired officer was kidnapped after the NDLEA officers arrested a 19-year-old female drug dealer, Mngunengen Achir, in Benue State.

The agency had disclosed that the 19-year old suspect was arrested with 5.5 kilogrammes of cannabis and 112 grams of Diazepam on October 6 in Aliade.

The kidnappers demanded for the release of the suspect in exchange for the former NDLEA officer, a request that was jettisoned by the agency.

However, the former NDLEA officer was later released unconditionally.

“The retired officer has been released and the suspect is still in custody,” a source disclosed.
