The Bishop was abducted on Sunday night, along with his driver, at the World Bank area of Owerri, Imo State.

Eko Hot Blog had reported that the Christian Association of Nigeria condemned the Bishop’s abduction, describing it as the height of wickedness.

Chikwe is expected to take over from Archbishop of Owerri Archdiocese, Archbishop Anthony Obinna who has just retired.
