Eko Hot Blog reports Abdullahi Biffo, the head coach of Sporting Lagos, has emphasized that despite the team’s inconsistent performance this season, they are determined to avoid relegation.

Sporting Lagos secured promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) prior to this season and showed early promise as the campaign began.

Unfortunately, things went sour for the Lagos-based club in the later stage of the campaign as they continued to lose games more often than expected.

Sporting Lagos have played 32 league games this season, with 11 wins, 8 draws, and 13 defeats.

They currently hold the 11th position on the league table with 41 points, maintaining a five-point gap from the relegation zone.

Because of the club’s disappointing beginning this season, the management opted to dismiss Coach Paul Offor.

Despite his previous success in guiding them to promotion in the NPFL.

They just need to win their home matches and forget about all these problems and maybe next season, we can now strategize and plan better.”
