Abike Dabiri to attend APC women conference in Abuja

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the women leaders of the All Progressive Party, APC, will be holding a conference, tagged ‘One voice: women uniting for progress’ later this month in Abuja, and the chairman of NiDCOM (Nigerians in Diaspora Commission), Hon. Abike Dabiri will be in attendance.

In an Instagram post recently, the former house of the represenative member, gave this piece of information out.

“Women coming together to speak with one voice.” Abike posted under a picture of an invitation that had the inscription, “i will be there”.

In another news, EKO HOT BLOG informs that Abike Dabiri has commended Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari’s recent endorsemnt of the establishment of the Nigerian Diaspora Investment Trust Fund (NDITF).

He did this on Tuesday in Abuja at the presentation of a compendium entitled +600 Diaspora Icons @60, published by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM).

NDITF is a private sector investment window with Nigerians in the diaspora to support direct investments in the country.

‘‘The compendium is birthed out of the necessity to recognise, celebrate and showcase Nigerians in the Diaspora who are doing great things in their host countries and also contributing to the socio-economic development of Nigeria,’’ Dabiri-Erewa said.

“The Commission plans to publish the compendium at regular intervals, towards changing the negative stereotypes typified by the activities of a few Nigerians who do not represent the country well.” Abike said, while reacting to president Buhari’s gesture.
