Abiodun To Establish Water And Power Agencies

In a bid to tackle the water and power supply problems in the state, Ogun State government says a Bureau of Water Water Supply as well as Energy and Electricity Board will be created.
Governor Dapo Abiodun, while fielding questions from the people of Ogun Central on the 2020 Budget at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, said the two agencies would be headed by experts.
He noted that the agencies would ensure adequate power and water supply to the new towns and the proposed industrial parks in the three senatorial districts of the state, as industrialisation would be difficult without the availability of those basic amenities.

The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo , stressed the need for government to embark on massive rehabilitation of township and rural roads to ease movement of people, goods and services.
In another vein, Governor Abiodun has said that his government would soon make public its decision on the recommendations of the Review Committee led by Olu of Ilaro , Oba Kehinde Olugbenled, on the promotions and appointment of traditional rulers by the immediate past administration of Ibikunle Amosun .
During the Statutory Meeting of Ogun State Council of Obas at the Obas’ Complex , Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta , he assured that the decisions would be based on justice, fairness and equity .
“ The review committee set up to look into the issues of appointments and promotions of traditional rulers have submitted their recommendations and we, as a government , have worked on it. I want to assure you that very soon , our decisions will be made public ,” he said.
