Eko Hot Blog reports that political leaders in Epe, Lagos East, and the entire Lagos State have celebrated Alhaji Shakiru Akanni Seriki, popularly known as Baba Bamu, a political juggernaut and member of the Lagos Governance Advisory Council (GAC), on his birthday.
Seriki celebrated his birthday on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
Senator Tokunbo Abiru, in a birthday message he personally signed, hailed Baba Bamu’s leadership in Epe Division.
He also commended the APC chieftain for his “remarkable impact in our community.”
“On behalf of the people of Lagos East Senatorial District, I want to warmly congratulate our esteemed leader and member of the prestigious Governance Advisory Council, GAC, Alhaji Akanni Seriki Bamu, on his birthday,” the message reads.
“Apase, your leadership in Epe division, Lagos East Senatorial District, and Lagos State at large is highly commendable. Your astuteness, resourcefulness, and grassroots political approach have made a remarkable impact in our community. You have become a worthy role model to many in politics, and we are proud to have you as our leader.
“Sir, I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude for all the support you have given me since I assumed the position of Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Your guidance and counsel have been invaluable, and I am grateful for the pivotal role you and other respected leaders and members of our great party, APC, played in my re-election on February 25, 2023.

Wale Raji, a member of the House of Representatives for Epe Federal Constituency, also joined political leaders paying tributes to Seriki.
He described the APC leader in Epe Division as a “father figure” to young politicians in the area.
Rep. Raji also prayed for more years in good health for the octogenarian.
“On behalf of the office and good people of Epe Federal Constituency, we wish our party’s (APC’s) Divisional Leader and GAC Member, Alhaji Seriki Akanni (Bamu) a Happy Birthday,” the lawmaker said.
“You are not just a political leader but a father figure for all of us and a bridge builder in the Political landscape of Epe and Lagos in general.
“On this special occasion of your birthday, we wish you more years in good health and wisdom to continue to lead us aright for the good of our people, Epe community, Lagos State and Nigeria.”
The Executive Chairman Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Epe, Lagos State, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, was not left out in wishing the political gladiator a happy birthday.
He commended Baba Bamu’s “immeasurable contributions” to Epe Division and its people.
“On this remarkable day, I, on behalf of my family, the Executive, Legislators, Management and the good people of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Develooment Area, celebrate a reputable and dynamic GAC Member, Charismatic and Selfless, Alhaji, Shakiru Akanni Seriki (Bamu), the Apaase of Epe Land on the occassion of his Birthday,” Anomo’s message reads.
“Indeed, your contributions to Epe Division, Lagos East and Lagos State at large including our personal lives are immeasurable and will forever be appreciated.
“You have indeed stood out tall amongst Leaders in Lagos State for you put the growth and development of Epe Division and her people first in all your political engagement, which is why Epe has gotten to where it is today.
“I pray to Almighty Allah to grant you long life, sound health and divine wisdom to continue impacting lives. We wish you a profitable, productive and progressive years ahead Sir.”
