About 750 Lagos Students to Benefit from Tech, Peace Training – Rotary Club, Gbagada
The 41st installment was held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja Lagos, following the conclusion of the Rotary year.
Fundraising efforts began for the Tech & Peace project shortly after Rotarian Adeniyi Adekunle was fully installed as the 41st President.

The project plans to equip at least 750 students from various secondary schools in Lagos, notably in Gbagada LGA.
The training aims at teaching youths about peacebuilding, conflict resolution and equipping them with digital skills such as software development and digital marketing.
so that they can understand and learn the technical know-how for navigating the limitless opportunities of the current digital age.
Thus, the President of the Rotary Club of Gbagada, Rotarian Adeniyi Adekunle, stressed the importance of the project.
He said the project will impact the younger generation positively in learning, relearning, and unlearning various aspects of technology.
Furthermore, the training will be mainly on software development and digital marketing as the core focus of the project.
He noted that the training will ensure sustainable peace and development now and in the near future.
Also, the training it will help to keep youths away from social vices that can endanger the community.
Therefore, to support and finance the project in the coming days, necessitated the fundraising activity.
