Achi-Okidi Commends Lagos State Fire Service
Ijeoma Achi-Okidi, the Assistant Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service for Zone F, South West, Lagos Command, has lauded the Lagos State Fire Service for its effective operations and ongoing improvements in handling fire incidents and rescue efforts across the state.
The newly appointed Assistant Controller-General made the commendation during a recent courtesy visit to the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service headquarters in Alausa.
During her visit, Achi-Okidi who toured the facility, expressed admiration for the state-of-the-art equipment and the dedication of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service officers.
She highlighted the importance of continued collaboration between the two agencies and expressed her commitment to fostering greater synergy in her new role.
Margaret Adeseye, the Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, guided the tour, showcasing the modern equipment acquired under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration.

Adeseye emphasized how these advancements have significantly boosted the agency’s ability to manage fire emergencies effectively across Lagos.
Outlining the progress and achievements of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service since her leadership began in 2019, she assured the Federal Fire Service of full cooperation and a strong partnership.
She credited these accomplishments to Governor Sanwo-Olu’s unwavering support.
Adeseye stated, “The visit underscores the mutual commitment of both the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and the Federal Fire Service to enhance fire safety and emergency response capabilities in Lagos State and beyond. It also aims to improve fire safety measures, ensuring the well-being of residents and demonstrating a shared vision for a safer and more resilient community.”
