Actress Iyabo Ojo Warns Fellow Yoruba Actors Concerning Baba Ijesha’s Case

Comedian actor, Baba Ijesha who goes by the real name, Olarenwaju James has been on the spotlight recently after a CCTV footage of an allegation labelled against him was made public.

The 48 years old actor was accused of violating little Muyiwa Adejobi (the victim) since she was seven, she is currently 14 years old.

He is currently under detention after he was arrested and is presently waiting for a court order of which if found guilty, he stand a chance of going into a lifetime imprisonment following the Nigerian law on rape and Child Right Violation.

However, many people on social media have taken to the internet to share their opinions where they suggest that the allegation may be staged to bring his reputation down. Others opined that the parents of the victim may have exposed her to such situations by not being wary of the people around their child.

Reacting to this case, popular actress, Iyabo Ojo Fepris has taken to her Instagram page to lend her voice to the trend. In lending her voice, she sounded several wanings first to her colleagues in the Nollywood industry particularly the Yoruba parts and again to social media users.

She warned her colleagues not to in any way defend Baba Ijesha on the case as there can’t be any reason to be a pedophile. Again, she cautioned them to seek the truth of the whole story before making any conclusions or trying to defend their own.

Then to social media users, actress Iyabo warned them never to ask for the CCTV footage of the incident as that is totally and morally wrong. She maintained that no parent would love to live and see the scene of a forced immoral act against their child go around the internet and still have their mental health intact.

She also said that little Muyiwa may also be online reading, watching and following the case and so, it would be heartbreaking for her to see such video of her going round.

She therefore sternly warned her colleagues and the entire social media users to do the right thing and put themselves in the victim’s shoes.

Her friends and fans hailed her for such courage, for speaking out for the little girl and her family and also for trying to maintain sanity within the entertainment industry,  EKO HOT BLOG  gathered.
