He told his men that the recent clash between the police and army was being addressed by the highest security authorities in the country.

Edbetokun condemned the attack and assured the family of the late officer that justice would be served.

The police chief urged police officers to continue with their normal duties and not to be demoralized by the incident.

Edbetokun also called on police officers to align themselves with the vision of the current administration, which is to have a police force that is professionally competent, service-driven, rule of law compliant, and citizen-friendly.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri was also commended by the IGP for his intervention in the recent clash.

In response, Governor Fintiri praised Egbetokun for his efforts to improve the welfare of police officers and bring positive changes to the Nigerian Police Force.

The governor also requested the establishment of a police mobile training school in Mbamba, Yola, to enhance the security of lives and property in Adamawa and Nigeria as a whole.

During the visit, Chairman of the PCRC, Attah Mustapha, donated food items, while the Association of Hunters donated two cows to the family of the deceased inspector.
