The Governor claimed that Ari had spent three hours in the house of Aishatu Binani, the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), allegedly trying to manipulate the results. He also alleged that Ari had been caught on tape telling the collation officer from Furore that he had orders from above to deliver APC.
According to Fintiri, the trouble began when the APC started using thuggery to snatch the results summary sheet from Furore LGA collation after results came in from all the wards.
He also accused the House of Representatives-elect from that constituency of masterminding the snatching of the summary sheet, despite knowing that he had his house, children, and two wives in Furore LGA.
The Adamawa State Governorship election was declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The state INEC Collation officer, Professor Muhammed Mele, explained that the margin of win between the leading two parties was lower than the number of collected PVCs in places where the election did not hold.
