EKO HOT BLOG reports that Junior Pope and four crew members died on April 10, 2024, when their boat capsised in the River Niger near Asaba, Delta State, while they were en route to a movie location.

Adanma Luke has bowed to public pressure and taken responsibility for the tragic incident in response to serious backlash following the accident.
Speaking on social media, she expressed her sorrow and admitted to struggling with the situation.
“I want to say I’m sorry. I’m deeply sorry, Nigerians.

I’ve heard that people are saying I took away your loved ones, and I am heartbroken that this happened on my movie set,” she said.
She continued, “Despite my efforts to stay strong, I’m not handling it well. I’m deeply saddened that this happened while they were working for me.
However, I’m not God, and sometimes these things are destined to happen.
I’ve faced a lot of criticism, and I am not okay. I did not plan what happened to Junior Pope and the crew members. Please forgive me.”
