Add Badagry, Abeokuta Express Roads To 4th Mainland Bridge Plan – Observers

Lagosians have reacted to the plan of the 4th Mainland bridge saying it is a welcome development, adding that two other major ways are very important and they should be put into consideration along with the bridge construction.

As residents in Lagos State have been praising the governor of the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for his competence and actualization of projects, they have also called him to other neglected areas of interest to the development of the state.

They reminded the governor of the fact that he should add the renovation of two major roads to compliment the 4th mainland bridge.

Our reporter who went out today to interview people on the new development realized that the two major roads that Lagosians want in addition to the 4th mainland bridge are the renovation of Abeokuta Express road which is the Abule Egba to Tollgate while the second road is Badagry Expressway.

They felt that these roads link Lagos state to other African countries like Togo, Ghana, and Abidjan respectively.

Mr. Taiye Ogunboyejo said if the two roads are renovated, traveling by road to nearby African countries will be in ease and confidence.

Mrs. Antonio Rebecca said 4th mainland bridge is a good idea but the Badagry Expressway should be looked into as she felt that the traffic jam in that area is due to the bad road.

“Please, add the reconstruction of Badagry Expressway to your plan,” she said.
