Adele Drops ‘Easy on Me’ Comeback Single After 6 Years (Official Video)
- British singer has released the first single “Easy on me” of her upcoming album, 30.
- This is the first time the singer and songwriter is releasing a song since 2015.
Ekohotblog reports that Adele has officially kicked off her new album 30 with the power ballad “Easy on Me,” the Grammy winner’s first new song since the release of 2015’s 25.
Easy on me seems to be a musical expression of Adele’s emotions towards her broken marriage. It was an attempt to explain why she had to walk away from her old marriage while asking her ex husband and son for understanding.

You will recall that Adele filed for divorce from her marriage with Simon Konecki in 2019 with the ex lovers confirming that they’ll raise their child, Angelo together.
However in the media rounds leading up to the release of easy on me and the upcoming 30 album, Adele explained that most of the songs on the album were dedicated to her son and it’s meant to explain to him why the relationship with his father didn’t work out.
Notable celebrities like Lil Nas, Drake, Alicia Siverstone have commended Adele for the release of this soulful music while many more are anticipating what more she has to offer on her upcoming album.
Although Easy On Me is very much a traditional Adele ballad, there have been hints that the rest of the album will showcase a more experimental side to Adele’s music.
