The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has appointed Dr Adeleke Adeshola Kaka as the new Acting Medical Director for the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Epe, Lagos State.
The Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr Tunji Alausa, presented the appointment letter to Dr Adeshola on Monday, in Abuja.
Speaking at the event, Dr Alausa expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for delivering on his campaign promises.
He noted that both the people of Epe Division and Nigerians are appreciative of President Tinubu’s commitment to enhancing healthcare.
The Minister also thanked Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his efforts and announced that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Lagos State government will be signed in the coming weeks.
This agreement, he noted, will facilitate the commencement of hospital operations before the end of the year.
Dr. Alausa added that the new hospital will create opportunities for the local community and surrounding areas.
He assured the ministry’s full support for the new director and encouraged him to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Before his appointment, Dr Kaka had served as the Medical Director, Gbagada General Hospital.
