EKO HOT BLOG reports that Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Monday, approved the dissolution of statutory commissions with immediate effect.
Members of the statutory commissions had remained in office since Adeleke took over the mantle of leadership of the state on November 27, 2022, because they have a fixed tenure of office.

The governor, after announcing dissolution of the commissions, expressed gratitude of the state to them for the services they rendered while in office.
The affected commissions are the State Civil Service Commission, the Judicial Service Commission, the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission and the Osun State House of Assembly Service Commission.
According to a circular signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Teslim Igbalaye, the dissolution takes immediate effect.

A statement signed by the spokesperson for the governor, Olawale Rasheed, said, “The Secretary to the State Government conveyed the appreciation of Mr Governor to members of dissolved commissions for the selfless and meritorious service to the state.”
