During the ward congress, the faction which favours the embattled factional chairman of the party in the State, Olasoji Adagunodo held a parallel congress.
Speaking with journalists during the exercise, Adagunodo accused the PDP ward congress committee of compromise, adding that their mission was to carry out a script as directed by the national secretariat of the party.
Adagunodo revealed that on the arrival of the ward congress committee to the state, a meeting of both factions was conveyed where they were hinted that they could not be trusted.
He alleged that this was so because two members of the Oker Jev committee were close to the party’s embattled national chairman, Unce Secondus, one being his Secretary, while the other was his brother.
The embattled chairman explained that the committee was already perceived to be partial because the party’s national chairman was behind the crisis combating the party in Osun.
Based on that, Adagunodo stated that his faction of the party held their own separate congress, while those in the Sunday Bisi camp did theirs.

The crisis in the Osun PDP which has been going on for more than three years has seen Olasoji Adagunodo and Sunday Bisi claiming the party’s chairmanship position.
