Eko Hot Blog reports that in a captivating display of talent and cultural pride, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke mesmerized guests with his singing and dancing prowess during his installation as the Asiwaju of Ede land.
The ceremony, held on Monday, was a star-studded affair attended by dignitaries from various walks of life.
Adorned in traditional Yoruba attire, complete with Aso-Oke and coronation leaves, Adeleke enthralled the audience by singing Yoruba praise songs like “Emi ni kan lo ye” and “Oluwa mi modupe.”
Moreover, the governor showcased his renowned dancing skills, charming attendees with his vibrant performance.
The event witnessed the presence of governors from neighboring states, including Ogun, Oyo, and Lagos, as well as first-class monarchs and business moguls.
Earlier, the state Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party commended the conferment of the traditional title on Adeleke by the Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal.
During his performance, the governor captivated the audience by singing Yoruba praise songs.
He sang lyrics such as “Emi ni kan lo ye,” which translates to “Only I understand why I am praising the Lord,” and “Oluwa mi modupe,” meaning “My God, I thank you.”
These songs showcased Adeleke’s cultural roots and his expression of gratitude through traditional Yoruba music.
