Admission Seeker Receives N2 Million, Car, Others For Returning Bag With N100 Million
Eko Hot Blog reports that a man who reportedly found a bag containing over N100 million and returned it to the owner has been rewarded for his actions.
Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, who announced the development on his X handle @ProfIsaPantami on Sunday, said the man, Salihu Abdulhadi Kankia from Katsina State, is a member of an Islamic organization known as JIBWIS.
He was said to have picked the bag containing the money in Kankia Local Government Area of Katsina State and returned it to the owner.
The young man, said to be a student waiting for admission into higher institution in Katsina State, was rewarded for his honesty with a certificate as well as a trip to this year’s pilgrimage to Mecca.
He was also said to have been rewarded with a car by the Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed and N2 million by a member of the House of Representatives whose name was not disclosed.
Professor Pantami added that people should assist him in getting a fully-paid scholarship to at least a degree level and become self sufficient.
The post partly reads: “This is Salihu Abdulhadi Kankia from Katsina State, member of Islamic Organization, JIBWIS, who picked a bag containing over N100 million in Kankia Local Government Area of Katsina State and returned it to the owner without taking a single kobo.”
