AFCON 2019: Two Super Eagles Players Tested For Drugs

The Super Eagles duo of Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem, were selected by officials of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), after the game against Cameroon on Saturday for a random dope test, reports says

Both players did not return to their hotel in Alexandria with their team-mates.

Omeruo and Awaziem were picked randomly, as is the usual practice after such matches.

They later returned to their Helnan Palestine base along with Nigeria’s medical team.

The two defenders played all 90minutes, as the Eagles dumped out defending champions Cameroon, to book a place in the quarter-final where they take on South Africa.
