Africa is and will continue to be the continent for blacks. It is the home for over 50 countries like Angola, Cameroon, Congo, Ghana and of course the giant of Africa, Nigeria.
Last year 2020 was probably one of the worst years of the world as the novel corona virus hit the world.
Even as this sudden virus continues to dominate and suppress nations, some African countries seem to be experiencing quite an ordeal alongside fighting the virus.
The citizens of various African countries stormed the roads in a massive protest against the government. While some of the protests were peaceful, some eventually became harmful. That, led to death, injuries, and many casualties.
○ The END SARS PROTEST NIGERIA : This took place from the 15th of October to the 20th of October 2020. Nigerians stormed the countries capital city Lagos in large numbers to protest against police brutality on its citizens.
A part of the police force SARS short for special anti-robbery squad meant to curb online criminals and robbers unlawfully imprison and kill their citizens not after brutalizing them on the streets with knives, large woods or sticks and guns.
The peaceful protest led to the killing of protesters in Nigeria as the nigerian soldiers started shooting at protesters. This led to the death of many people including bread winners of families.
○ Congo is bleeding : The Democratic Republic of congo is the sixth most mineral rich country in Africa.
The citizens of congo have experienced death as a result of armed men in groups brutally attacking citizens.
Over 50,000 people and more fled their homes as lots of citizens have become victims of rape, kidnapping, sexual violence and death.

○ The Cameroon protest : The Cameroonians took to their street to protest against the insecurity in their educational systems.
Over 850,000 children have become school drop outs in the anglophone region. This has led over 60,000 Cameroonians to flee to the neighbouring country Nigeria for better education.
○ Nambia, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, and South Africa : This 5 African countries protested in 2020 over rape and gender based violence. The estimated percentage of rape in these countries have increased by 40 percent. The citizens of this 5 African countries took to the streets to protest against female gender discrimination and rape
