Afro-jazz musician, Manu Dibango, has died on Tuesday in a hospital in Paris, France after contracting the Coronavirus disease.

A message posted on Manu Dibango’s official Facebook page on Tuesday confirmed this information.

The message posted on the Afro-jazz musician’s Facebook page said that the ‘Soul Makossa’ singer died after he contracted COVID-19.

The statement confirmed that “his funeral service will be held in strict privacy, and a tribute to his memory will be organized when possible.”
