There Was No Attempted Abduction, Lady Claims After Gunshots Disrupt Teni’s Show

    EKO HOT BLOG reports reports of how gunshots disrupted popular artiste, Teni’s show in Rivers State, a lady has disputed claims that there was an attempt to abduct the female singer while she was performing on stage.

    Ear-splitting gunshots had sent everyone scampering for safety, as seen in the video which has since gone viral.

    A twitter user @JoyDaminabo_, who claimed to have witnessed the incident wrote: “I was there and it was a mess. People were rushed to clinics because of the stampede.

    “They wanted to kidnap Teni then her bouncers started shooting everywhere not just towards the sky but everywhere. It was horrible, I feel bad for her.”

    However, the lady who claimed that she was quoting a reliable source, said that what was perceived as an attempted kidnap was just a scuffle that erupted between one of the organisers of the show and a camera man.

    According to her, it was Teni’s security detail that shot in the air in a bid to get the artiste out of the venue unscathed, adding that she was not harrased in anyway.

    Reacting to the incident, the Singer took to her Instagram story: “(It) could have been a different story entirely but I’m grateful to God.

    “Myself and entire team are safe and back home now. Thanks for the calls and messages.”

    The Police Division in Buguma have said investigation into the incident is ongoing, adding that the perpetrators will be smoked out soon.
