Media aide to President Buhari, Lauretta Onochie, has shared chats of a former member of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) confessing that he has changed.

The death of Ikonso, a top commander in the Indigenous people of biafra (IPOB) may have had a damaging effect on members of the group who want to renounce their membership, going by the chat shared by Lauretta Onochie, President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide on social media.

According to reports, Ikonso and six others, who are part of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), the military wing of IPOB, were killed in an exchange of gun battle with government forces in Awomama, Orlu East Local Government Area of Imo State.

Even though IPOB have condemned the killing of its members and promise to hold the governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma, responsible; a chat between Lauretta Onochie and one member of IPOB shows the killing of Ikonso may have had a psychological effect on some IPOB members, who want to leave the group.

Commenting before sharing the chat, the president’s aide who used the recent attacks in Imo state as an example called on leaders in the southeast to begin to take charge of their region, EKO HOT BLOG  gathered.
