Again, Military Combat Aircrafts Comb Orlu For ESN Operatives

A combat aircraft of the Nigerian military again paraded the already tense Orlu communities in Imo State on Thursday (today).

According to video clips shared on twitter by residents of the community, the Nigerian Army are dropping bombs from several combat helicopters.

The video clips shared by twitter users @FestusGreen and @johnbosco_amah claimed that the armed forces are combing the area for Eastern Security Network (ESN) operatives, a security outfit formed by leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to flush out killer herdsmen and bandits in the Southeast.

Eko Hot Blog recalls that there was a crisis in Orlu last month after a clash between ESN officers and soldiers resulted in the deaths of people.

The soldiers reportedly could not arrest any of the ESN operatives who were said to have overpowered the army because of their use of traditional powers.
