The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has shown that Nigeria has recorded a total of 86,576 cases of COVID-19 infections.
In its latest case update dated December 29, the NCDC reports 1,016 new infections and 11 COVID-19-related deaths.
The new infections were recorded in 22 states — Lagos (434), Plateau (94), Kaduna (56), FCT (155), Niger (3), Edo (14), Kano (18), Borno (10), Delta (3), Nasarawa (27), Oyo (30), Ebonyi (10), Rivers (56), Anambra (4), Jigawa (7), Osun (1) and Zamfara (25), Abia (22), Enugu (18), Kano (18), Bayelsa (15) and Ogun (11).
