UPDATED: Diesel-Laden Tanker Explodes Near Otedola Estate
A diesel-laden tanker has exploded near Otedola Estate on the outbound service lane of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
A video circulating on social media showed thick, dark flames erupting from the explosion.

The Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Femi Oke-Osanyintolu said upon arrival of its officials at the scene of the incident, it was observed that a tanker conveying an unknown amount of diesel fell spilling its content which resulted to an explosion that affected a truck conveying goods.
Eko Hot Blog gathers that no injuries were recorded and the extent of property damaged is still being determined while rescue and recovery operations is ongoing.
The Otedola section of the Expressway is known for similar accidents.
In October, a tanker loaded with diesel exploded on Otedola Bridge.
