Nigerian Journalist, Agba Jalingo, has come out to narrate his ordeal in prison.
Jalingo, who is the publisher of Cross River Watch, was arrested on August 22, 2019 and charged for treason by Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State.
Speaking during an interview on TVC programme, Fire Works, Jalingo refuted claims that were made against him as regards treason, noting that the state governor is just trying to avoid been criticized.
It could be recalled that Jalingo was accused of public disturbance and treason over his articles and social media post which is directed to the Governor Benedict Ayade’s led administration.

He said, “I need to clarify this, the federal government has no hand in this, it is the plot of the state governor who is my own brother,”
“I am looking at the possibility of an Efik man becoming the next governor of Cross River State, how can I at that time challenge such a person if things are not going well when I have not challenged my own brother when he was in power,” Jalingo quoted.
Agba Jalingo, however, noted that he will not stop challenging the governor in speaking for the truth.
