Val Obienyem, the Media Adviser to Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, has addressed recent rumours claiming that Obi and his wife were arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) at their home in Anambra State.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Obienyem refuted the claims, describing them as “false and baseless.”
He clarified that Obi was not even in Anambra State at the time of the alleged incident, stating, “As of Saturday, Mr. Obi was in Rwanda attending important engagements.
