AIG Bishi Laid To Rest At Ebony Vault, Lagos {Video}

It was a doleful day for the Nigeria Police Force on Tuesday as recently promoted Assistant Inspector General of Police, Omololu Bishi, who died barely three weeks after his promotion to the top echelon of the police force was laid to rest at the Ebony Vault in Lagos on January 12th, 2021.

EkoHotBlog had earlier reported that the former Benue State Commissioner of Police died on Monday, January 11th 2021 over suspected COVID-19 complications.

The burial ceremony was held in line with the requisite NPF guard of honour and was attended by the top creme of Lagos and beyond.

Highlights of the ceremony included tributes from family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers who all testified to the impeccable and immaculate personality of the late Bishi.

In a reactionary comment, one of the guests at the late AIG’s funeral who pleaded anonymity described Bishi’s demise as a huge loss to the police force, Lagos State and Nigeria by extension.

He described the late Bishi as a public servant whose dedication to the Nigerian cause remains unmatched and prayed for the ultimate repose of his soul.

Until his demise, Omololu Bishi was the highest-ranking Lagosian within the Nigerian Police Force and had been widely tipped to ultimately assume the mantle of Inspector General in view of his exemplary and distinguished career in the police force.

Speaking on the person of the highly charismatic AIG, Otunba TJ Abass, Publisher of EkoHotBlog said Bishi was a rare individual whose demise echoes as an incredible loss to Lagos State and Nigeria at large.
