Air Strikes Kill Dozens Of Terrorists In Two Weeks – DHQ

Air strikes have killed dozens of terrorists in two weeks, according to the DHQ.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has disclosed major breakthroughs in the military’s fight against terrorists in the northern part of the country.

Major General Musa Danmadami, DHQ’s Director of Media Operations, made the disclosure during a press briefing on Thursday.

The briefing covered operational activities of the armed forces and other security agencies across the country between October 6 and 20, 2022.

Danmadami stated that the air component of operation Hadarin Daji neutralised 14 terrorists in an air bombardment at Tsora hill in Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State on October 11, 2022.

He also disclosed that the military’s air strikes killed 30 terrorists in Zamfara State on October 14, 2022. He explained that the slain terrorists had converged at the residence of a notorious bandit leader, Lawali Gudau, also known as, Dogo Damina for a ceremony.

“The air component of Operation HADARIN DAJI sustained its onslaught against terrorists in the North West Region. Accordingly, an air interdiction operation was carried out on a terrorists enclave, Maudi Maudi, at Tsora hill in Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State on 11 October 2022, feedback revealed that over 14 terrorists were neutralised in the air bombardment while other survived the strike with injuries,” the defence spokesman said.

“Equally, on 14 October 22, following intelligence of bandits plan to converge at the residence of a notorious bandits leader Lawali Gudau AKA Dogo Damina for a ceremony at Koli village, in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, the air component of Operation HADARIN DAJI equally conducted air bombardment at the terrorists leader enclave and neutralized over 30 terrorists as well as destroying their armoury in the strike.”

Speaking further, Danmadami announced that the air component of Operation WHIRL PUNCH struck a notorious terrorist, Ali Dogo (Yellow) alongside 30 of his fighters.

“Equally, the air component of Operation WHIRL PUNCH on 8 October 2022 carried out air interdiction operation at Yadi in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna SStat,” he said.

“The air strikes lead to the neutralidation of a notorious terrorist kingpin known as Ali Dogo (AKA Yellow) alongside 30 of his fighters while they were having a meeting at a building.

“Similarly, another air interdiction was carried out same day, following intelligence about the gathering of some terrorists leaders and their foot soldiers converging under tree covers for a meeting at a location, 33NM North West of Mando in Kaduna State. The air bombardment led to the neutralisation of some of the terrorists’ leaders and scores of their foot soldiers.”
