EKO HOT BLOG reports that Atiku Abubakar will decline First Lady Aisha Buhari’s invitation to a Ramadan Iftar Dinner at the State House Conference Center.

Reno Omokri, a former presidential adviser and a supporter of the former Vice President, disclosed this via his Twitter page.

This online media platform recalls that Aisha Buhari, who recently returned from her base in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, had invited all the presidential aspirants to an Iftar dinner at the Presidential Villa.

In the tweet, Omokri reacted to the invitation, claiming that Aisha’s invitation was actually a summons in disguise

He advised Nigerians not to vote for any contestant who attends the event, notwithstanding the fact that the First Lady lacks moral or constitutional power to summon anyone.

Reno Omokri tweeted: “I don’t know about other aspirants, but I can assure Nigerians that Atiku Abubakar will never attend this event, or any other summons disguised as an invite by Aisha Buhari. Imagine the audacity! Phones are not allowed? Is Aisha herself allowed? Tufiakwa! Nonsense!

“Any Presidential aspirant that accepts this summons by Aisha Buhari, disguised as an invitation, is not a man and should not be voted for. Aisha lacks moral or constitutional authority to summon anyone. A woman whose husband described as belonging to his other room?” he wrote.

The presidential hopefuls from various political parties are set to meet at the presidential house on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

In an invitation letter to the aspirants, President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife advised them not to bring their cell phones, instead relying on their invitation cards as their entry pass.

The injunction does not, however, apply to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, governors, or ministers who would be present at the meeting.
