The wife of Nigerian president, Aisha Buhari has returned to the country, Nigeria.
The return of the first lady to Nigeria was confirmed on a Facebook post made by popular TVC News investigative journalist, Babajide Kolade Otitoju, on Thursday.
Aisha Buhari has been away from Nigeria for over five months.
Last week, during the commemoration of International Women’s Day, she issued a press statement on the need for Nigerian leaders to take seriously the plight of women and schoolgirls.
In the statement, she specifically condemned the kidnappings of schoolgirls in northern Nigeria by terrorists.

Aisha has been a critic of her husband’s government and her disappearance in public functions in recent past has been a subject of debate among the Nigerian public.
Since her departure from Nigeria, she was allegedly in Dubai. it was gathered that the development was due to her displeasure about the president’s slow and incompetent handling of the country.
